Weekend Wrap Up
Geez. Seems like I've been wading in the Internet pool way too long. This is my fifth blog in three days. Talk about masipag.
Last night, after sending a bunch of work emails and accompanying my team of testers to dinner, I went straight to Tere's house for her 28th birthday. We chatted for a bit, and I had front row seats to their Aero-Dance group's performance. Neil, Tere's instructor, was just amazing. I got home past three I think. I was surprised to find Sheryl and Rommel in the garage, finishing off a few drinks (Apparently, you can order mixed drinks at Central for take out!). Sheryl and I talked a little after that and I ended up sleeping close to 5AM.
Sunday was mostly about family. The kurims slept over, and so did Lola Juling and Tita Teng. Full house kami! Most of us were doting over Jianna. She has more hair now. After watching an episode of Extreme Makeover, Home Edition, Sheryl and I took off. She treated me to merienda at Conti's (the mouth watering kiddie lasange surely hit the spot), and we just talked about the surprising turns life takes. Fast forward to 7 years from now. I told her, "She, baka by then, visit na kita sa Canada with my own family." Naks.
Later, we went to Step Rite where Sheryl bought two pairs of shoes. Sorry Grouchy, the nice and cheap sandals I was telling you about (now marked down to 190 bukols!) is out of stock for the colors you want.
After dropping Sheryl off in Sucat, I went to Santana Grove! Men. This is the second time this week I visited Santana Grove. All the errands I had planned to do the week before (parlor, eye brow threading, and pedicure), finally DONE this visit. So here I am now, typing away again, relishing in the satisfaction of this quasi-accomplishment. Hehe.
So another work week is starting tomorrow. My superstar of a test lead spent 24 hours in the office and right now, we're up to 71% percent in our retest. It's a good number and we're pushing to complete everything before Saturday. I really want to avoid any more weekend work for my team. They're tired enough as it is. Plus I will be out of town this weekend.
A few random thoughts...
** Apparently, some people could see right through my suitcase metaphor. Haha! Me likey suitcase D!
** My brother and I had a talk a few minutes ago about love. Something major just happened to him and we were discussing stuff about communication. He was saying he aims to please, even if it means doing things he doesn't really like, or not doing things he does. Bottom line is though, I pointed out to him, girls don't like LIES. Hehe. I know my last three sentences do not seem coherent.
** I found out about something recently. And that piece of information sort of fit nicely with some of the things I was trying to patch together. Hehe. Interesting.
