Time and Clarity

Amazing how clearer things are with time. I did a search of the word "clarity" in my blog and found a couple of entries, dating a few years back. I wished for clarity, and I think I'm getting it. There is a comfort in knowing that you are at that point in your life where you're looking back and saying to yourself how obvious some things are, the mistakes you've made, and the lessons you've learned. Some things seemingly of the present and a could-be future, now rightfully belong to the past. It's sad, but then it's necessary.

A lot of the things happen in a particular order. There are reasons why some things didn't work out in the past, why there are low scores after much effort given, and why people who have left our lives as strangers. Whatever happens though, I've come to realize that friendships are the lasting relationships, worthy of keeping and nurturing. There are people who you never thought you'd be close to. It's just surprising how you can affect their lives and how they can change yours.

I am getting a hair cut soon. To mark a new beginning. And to celebrate friendships and faith in knowing that there is definitely more new things to come.
