Monday Musings

Still struggling to go over my to-do list for today. I've been able to check a couple of items, but the lazy bug has bitten me yet again. It's probably the usual Monday blues and the Holy Week hypnotic haze.

The weekend was pretty good. Lots of eating and lamon (Pesem noticed I might've put on a few pounds! Yikes!). It's been fun hanging out with the girls and my family. Last night, Tonton and I had dinner at Tita Baby's place. We couldn't say no to the adobo, steamed eggplant, and Mango Bravo dessert. Haha.

My considerably good weekend mood was kind of dampened though by the this thing I read while innocently surfing. Haha. Nothing super bad. Just a sweet, sweet entry by this girl who could be the luckiest girl in the world. At the end of the day, I think I am essentially an optimistic girl. Great things happen to great people. I've somehow lowered by expectations for 2007. I do need to be more focused and determined. It's so much easier to be complacent and to let the world take you to wherever it pleases. But somewhere along the way, you'll have to take charge and see the greatness of what could be, if you will it and desire it with all your heart.

Ooohhh... I sounded like Paulo Coehlo back there. Haha.

Imogen Heap's "Good night and Go"'s on my Fun Driving Music playlist. I downloaded the lyrics and it's pretty nice! My favorite lines... "Skipping beats, blushing cheeks, I am... struggling... Day dreaming." "Why'd ya have to be so cute? It's impossible to ignore you..Must you make me laugh so much? It's bad enough we get along so well.

Mama and Papa are leaving for their trip soon and I've been surfing in Amazon.com for stuff I'd like to get. So far on my shopping cart:

* Details by Frou Frou
* I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence by Amy Sedaris
* Too Cool for School - The John Hughes DVD Collection (Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Some Kind of Wonderful, Pretty in Pink)
* Ben Fold Live
* Live! Thirty Days Ago by Phoenix
* Alphabetical by Phoenix
* United by Phoenix

I'm still contemplating on getting an iTrip and some protective MacBook keyboard cover. Also on the contemplative list... BBC's Pride and Prejudice (starring Colin Firth). It's worth 20 dollars. Deng. So I dunno if it's any good. 300 minutes of Jane Austen.
