[Movie Schmovie] Ratatouille

Pronounced Rat-a-too-ee. Pixar does it again! Another great animated feature for both kids and adults. This movie is about a rat named Remy who dreams of becoming the best chef in Paris. Although the a colony of rats making gourmet French dishes ain't a pretty (nor sumptuous) sight, they're pretty endearing! The movie was able to capture some restaurant/chef-ing realities. The supporting characters were pretty subtle, no one really stood out or overshadowed the lead. But all were equally lovable. After reviewing the cast of characters, I was pretty surprised that most of the voice talents are American actors who donned French accents! Of course, this movie being a Pixar flick, John Ratzenberger had to be in it (He was the Maitre D'). What I like about these movies, there's always something about self-discovery and going beyond people's perceptions. Brad Bird also directed The Incredibles and Iron Giant (under-rated animated flick which had so much heart!). Paris is always lovely (even in cartoons).
